The Light House offers both a Residential and a Non-Residential addiction treatment program to women suffering from alcohol and drug addiction.
A woman lives on-site for at least 6 months, receives individual therapy sessions with an experienced, licensed therapist on-site, plus 2-3 group therapy sessions per week, and educational classes. After completing Phase 1 with 3 months of sober living and intensive therapy, a woman moves on to Phase 2 where she works at a job with essential training and earns a paycheck.
requires 120-day enrollment and sober living, with a 4-month minimum of therapy sessions and educational classes from 9a-3p, Monday-Thursday, on-site. Women approved to live off-site under family supervision participate 2-4 days a week in educational drug and alcohol recovery classes, and work at assigned jobs.
Residential and Non-Residential women each receive After-Care follow-up after completion of Phases 1 & 2. Although both programs offer recovering women a shorter program than many other addiction recovery centers, over 83% of women experience successful long-term recovery through our intensive therapy, education and work sessions.

We also connect women with jobs at various business locations nearby in cooperation with the Fresno County government work referral program. All participants can learn the important skills needed for employment after successful completion of our recovery program, allowing them to become self-sufficient and independent women.

of The Light House Recovery Program, Inc., Fresno, CA
Before coming to The Light House, I was putting my addiction in front of my family. Through the classes, facilitators, therapists, mentors, and classes, my hurt was turned into hope, my darkness was turned into light. I learned how to trust people and I could let go of control. I saw changes in my life and the other ladies’ lives. Now, I can give back. I am so grateful. Romans 12:2.
“As a pastor, I am always looking for extraordinary ministries that are not only worthy of support, but who will provide the most bang for the buck. Lighthouse is such a ministry. Those who go through The Lighthouse recovery program move from addiction to sobriety, from welfare to work, from isolation to community, from dependence to independence, and most of all from darkness to spiritual light.”
